I recommend imaging facilities that perform high-quality studies and employ radiologists specializing in musculoskeletal medicine – and where I can review the images myself.
In regards to advanced imaging, I want to remind everyone that medical research tells us that young, healthy, and completely asymptomatic persons often have numerous abnormalities on MRI scans (ligament and tendon tears, disc bulges and herniations, joint cartilage damage, degenerative changes, etc.). Therefore, this is something that everyone must keep in mind as we order and interpret advanced imaging studies.
Viewing your imaging studies (X-ray, CT, MRI)
We are not able to supply you with the actual images of your study. However, you may view the images on-line – see below. If you wish to obtain a CD with your images, you will need to contact the imaging facility directly.
Images cannot be sent via email.
Lenox Hill Radiology
- Reports and images are available for viewing on-line via Radnet’s Patient Portal.
- If you already have an account, log in via the “Lenox Hill Radiology Patient Portal.”
- To set up a new account, you will need to try one of two portals listed: “Lenox Hill Radiology Patient Portal” or “NYC Connect Portal.” Click the “Create an Account” button and follow the instructions. If you try one portal and your name is not found, then go back and try the other.
- You may obtain a CD with your images at the facility where the study was performed, directly after you have your study. At any later date, you can request images by calling the facility (or enter your request on-line – click here) and then pick up the CD at the facility. To have a CD mailed to you, email lhr-medicalrecords@radnet.com or call 646-793-2800.

Other Imaging Facilities
Advanced imaging (CT, MRI, or diagnostic ultrasound) as well as radiographs (x-rays), may be performed at NYU Langone Health facilities throughout Manhattan and the New York metropolitan area. Click here, and then click on the type of study (on the left side of the page) to view the list of locations for that modality. Please check with our office before scheduling, as different locations have different quality scanners. Be advised that certain NYU Langone Health outpatient imaging facilities bill for a “hospital” service, which will mean a significantly higher out-of-pocket cost for you.
Advanced imaging and radiographs (x-rays) may also be performed at Lenox Hill Radiology locations in all five boroughs, as well as in Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, and Rockland counties. Click here for a grid showing what imaging studies are available at which locations.
We often use these other Lenox Hill Radiology facilities. Walk-ins for radiographs (x-rays) during the hours listed may be available, but please check with us first (due to a nationwide shortage of x-ray technicians).
